Charles Thomas, CFA

Charles Thomas is a Vice President of Financial Planning of Analysis at Prudential Financial. He
has held various roles, including his current role of leading the finance team responsible for
supporting U.S. Customer Service and Transformation Center of Excellence. Prior to this role, he
held roles as the head of capital initiatives in International Insurance Treasury focused on the
development and execution of capital transactions, capital management responsible for capital
forecasting for Prudential’s Asia, LATAM and Europe operations and in Consolidated FP&A for
Prudential’s investment management business.
Prior to joining Prudential, he spent over 7 years in the United States Army as a UH-60
Blackhawk pilot, deploying twice to support operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, He held many
roles, ultimately culminating as a Captain and Company Commander, supervising 120 Soldiers
in multiple technical disciplines.
Charles holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Business Economics from the University of California,
Santa Barbara and a Master’s of Business Administration, focused on Finance and Management
from New York University Stern School of Business. He is currently an Executive Committee
Member of the NYU Stern Military Veterans Alumni Group. He is also a CFA charterholder.
