Newark 360 Master Plan

Newark360 is the City of Newark’s Resident Driven 10-Year Master Plan.  The Newark360 plan aims to improve the physical form of Newark, New Jersey.  The methodology was based on a comprehensive citywide engagement process called Newark Forward which included Virtual Outreach, In-Person Workshops, Citywide Survey and Youth Engagement.

Newark360 builds on the values and initiatives identified in Mayor Baraka’s 2018 Newark Forward plan.  Each of the Elements in the plan will be imbued with goals and actions that support meaningful outcomes in the health, equity and resilience (HER) of Newark’s communities. Newark360 will be a framework for achieving the enduring principles of HER.  These principles will frame the process, and how we will measure results.
