Empowering Newark Through Education, Job Training & Economic Growth.
Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District’s education and training programs are designed to build skills, create job opportunities, and foster economic empowerment within the community.
From green job training to real estate development, these programs provide participants with valuable tools and resources to thrive in high-growth industries. With a focus on inclusivity and equity, LPCCD’s initiatives support the development of a new generation of leaders prepared to make a lasting impact in Newark and beyond.
LPCCD’s pioneering “Green Cap” initiative, launched in 2008-09, was one of the first Green Job Training Programs in the U.S., providing entry-level workers for energy-efficient projects under New Jersey's Energy Master Plan.
LPCCD's “Green Suite” trains underrepresented groups, including BIPOC and Women of Color, in real estate development, aiming to create generational wealth and disrupt gentrification in Newark.
