Lincoln Park Jazzy Soul Series

Influenced by founding board member Amiri Baraka’s love of jazz, Lincoln Park Jazzy Soul Series program, introduces jazz infused live soul music to a new generation of music lovers. In 2024, LPCCD celebrated the 6th season of the Jazzy Soul Series and it was an official selection of the State of New Jersey’s North To Shore festival. 

Past performers have included recording artist stars of the Hulu documentary TRAP JAZZ, Nasir Dickerson and The Renaissance Messengers, Res, Honeycomb Music artist Lamone Andrews, indie artist Hendii, James Gibbs III and the Brick City Soul Collective, V. Bozeman of Fox’s hit show Empire and the Antoinette Montague Experience feat. AC Lincoln and band leader Bobby Sanabria, who was a 2024 Grammy nominee for Best Latin Jazz Album. The Jazzy Soul Series is a hybrid live/recorded experience with audience.  

At 2017’s Jazzy Soul Series event, Leah Jenea performed her debut album LIFE WTR and classic covers six months prior to her life changing debut on Sean “P. Diddy” Combs’ The Four on Fox. To date, this content has garnered 50,000+ views and climbing.
