What is the Lincoln Park Music Festival?
Attracting over 50,000 visitors yearly, the Lincoln Park Music Festival is a cultural ambassador and signature event in the City of Newark. The Lincoln Park Music Festival is part of the economic development led by Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District (LPCCD) in Newark, New Jersey’s historic Lincoln Park section. Dedicated to revitalizing the area, LPCCD provides this free event in celebration of the spirit of the community.

When and where is it held?
The Lincoln Park Music Festival is the last weekend in July.

What are the genres of music featured at the Lincoln Park Music Festival?
The music festival includes entertainers performing Jazz, Gospel, House and Hip-Hop.

When is the performance schedule released?
The performances are announced on a rolling basis. Keep checking our website and follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest information.

How do I get to Lincoln Park?
We recommend public transportation. Lincoln Park is just five minutes from Newark Penn Station. If you must drive, we suggest you car pool with friends. This will help you to save gas, conserve energy and be green! Log on to www.njtranist.com to view bus and train schedules.

Where can I park?
Limited on street parking is available but will fill up fast. You may utilize available parking lots around the Lincoln Park area located along Broad and Washington Streets.

How safe is it?
Plenty of security and emergency services will be on hand. Festival goers are encouraged not to leave any valuables in cars parked on the street or in parking lots. This includes money, electronic devices and GPS systems.

Is the Festival accessible to people with disabilities?
Yes, the event is wheelchair accessible and space is provided so that everyone can have an enjoyable experience. To request more information call (973) 242-4144.

Any tips on preparation for a day at Lincoln Park Music Festival?
Blankets, chairs, water coolers and playing card tables are all welcome in designated areas. Alcohol is not permitted in the park.

Are there ATMs available if I run low on cash?
Yes. A Wells Fargo branch and ATM are just across the street from the park.

How can I apply for a crafts or food booth?
Applications for food and merchandise vendors are reviewed on a first come, first serve basis. You must register with us and obtain a special events permit application from the City of Newark before that date. Download an application here.

May I bring my pet?
Animals (including pets) are not allowed at the Lincoln Park Music Festival. Warm weather, lots of people, and stressed out pets are not a happy combination. Please leave your pets at home where they will be safe, relaxed, and comfortable. Service animals are always welcome.

May I hang a banner or a sign at the Lincoln Park Music Festival?
Banners and signs from anyone other than our sponsors, vendors, and approved participants are prohibited on Lincoln Park grounds during.

Are you going to search my bag?
Persons entering the facility and their bags may be subject to search for prohibited items.

What is the camera policy?
Cameras with detachable lenses are not allowed at the Festival. No photos of the artists or their work can be taken without prior approval and a sanctioned Lincoln Park Music Festival Media pass. Media passes are issued to working media only, and must be requested in advance. Contact Kimberlee Williams, Marketing Director, FEMWORKS, 973-494-9705 to apply.

May I bring audio or video recording equipment to record the events?
Audio and video recording equipment with an external microphone is not allowed at the Lincoln Park Music Festival – please leave this type of gear at home.

Are cell phones allowed?
Cell phones are allowed on Festival grounds, but as a courtesy to artists and other patrons, we ask that you please turn your phones off during performances.

May I bring food or beverages?
You are permitted to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages to the Lincoln Park Music Festival (but not glass containers).
